About Laura Jaffe
I came to the world of visual art and painting rather late in life and never imagined I would find this particular outlet for expression, although I have always had artistic endeavors via piano and dance. When in my studio, engrossed in the work, I am free from the everyday stressors and can create… When I approach a blank canvas, I start to feel what brush, what color, what other media form calls to me. I prefer creating abstract works, revealing itself in color, texture, values, and lines. I would like for anyone viewing my art to just feel it, and see what emotions are evoked. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy creating it. I welcome all comments!
